Weekend in the Mammoth Mountains!

We have been wanting to do a trip to Mammoth for a long while now. David and I have been on three previous trips with a group of friends....but since we haven't been boarding in 3 years =/ (life got busy), we decided a family/friend trip was much needed. Sooo, we bit the bullet and just did it! Life is too short to just dream of snow fun, sometimes you just have to go make it happen =)
Road trip there with the three lady friends in back!
No trip is complete with out the famous Pringles and Cheese! YUM
Shat's Bakery.....a must stop there and back!
Finally there, un-packed and making a tottie! Our Cabin was too cute....fully stocked kitchen, (over stocked with food once we got there =), firewood for days, and good people to fill it with memories!
Going for a walk to the Village!
The cold got to Kar's nose!
Getting suited up for our first day on the slopes.
First Timers
Old Dogs
Just Girls
The first run we took the girls on was a "level two run" not quite the 'bunny slopes'. They were like this for some of the run....but towards the end they were doing great.
Amy just went for it! A couple hard falls but she was doing awesome!!
Mom did great too! I helped her out by holding her hands and going backwards down most of the run. She was gettin' it by the end....my ankles on the other hand were patiently waiting for the end;)

Nikki was a big help in 'teaching' the girls too! Ricky started helping but soon said 'see ya' and took off with the boys.
Snowing both days we were boarding, goggles were a must.
Second day of boarding....waking up early very sore but will board through the ouch! =) It's just too fun....we have the rest of our lives to rest, right?!?
Bundle up Baby....it's Frizzin' out there =)
Becca thinking this fire sounds much better than a second day on the slopes.
Bug was a feisty crack up in the evenings....she loved having us all around the fire and just giving her attention. Reminds me of stories of Kels when she was little......loves the show =) huh Kels?!?
Amy carving on her second day...even with a bit of pain in her wrists =(
The girls finished two days of boarding for the first time! YAY and they are over it for now.....this sport is very hard on the body!
Getting ready to meet up with the rest of the group and board til Super Bowl!
Couples at the top of Mt. Grump'it.....not really just like to call it that.....I think we are near 'Dave's Run, black diamond.
I never get good shots of us actually snowboarding...but this one turned out pretty good of Marshall!
My husband and I...or as Marshall would say Kvid!
Ricky and Kels
Nikki and Marshall
Girls took off before I could get a picture with them :/
The Group
Back in the Cabin "Workin' IT"
Our navigator both on the slopes and the road! Thank Babe for planning such a memorable trip. I love you bunches and also...you're CUTE ;)!
Of course this is what we boarded in both days and what do you know...driving home was.....
"Blue Sky's.....nothing but blue sky's all day long" =)
LOVE this SWEET BABY!!! AHHHH
Beautiful Mom!
Stretch break.....and potty break for the guys?!? What's up with that! =)
Thanks Mammoth for the Memories! Cabin and Food GOOD, Family and Friends GOOD, Mammoth and Snow GOOOOOD!
