From there to here, and here to there. Funny things are everywhere." Dr. Seuss
Life can be very ironic at times. Many of you know that we had accepted the territory of Monterey Ca. back in January for David's new job. At first we were hesitant about it, it wasn't Southern Ca or near family but, since the territory near home would probably not be open for another two years, we figured it was the best choice. After visiting the area we adjusted to the idea, how could you not... it's such a beautiful place. So since January I have been submitting all the required documents that I need so that I could attend CSU Monterey Bay and this past week we were getting ready to go house hunting for our new place on the coast.
Well, the ironic thing is that the very same day I submitted my final paper work to CSUMB stating that I was accepted and that I will attend this coming Fall, David received the news of a new territory that opened.....Southern Ca, near home. At first word of this I didn't react the way David thought I would.....he thought I would be thrilled, it was close to home and it was what we originally wanted in the first place. Instead I had mixed emotions....half of me was happy that Southern Ca was now a possibility and the other half of me starting crying because since January I have been getting everything together for school up in Monterey.
As we all know the Lord works in mysterious ways and well apparently has a sense of humor with his timing. Although the timing of all the news was off according to my plans, David and I know that things happen for a reason. After a long talk we came to the conclusion that Southern Ca. is where we want to be and where we need to be... not only for us, but for David's career, family and friends.
So...I am kinda back at square one applying to Credential programs in Southern Ca now, but it's all good, I work well under pressure =). Instead of going house hunting in Monterey this past week, we had a mini "vacation" and decided that this would now be a place we visit more often. Life changes, very quickly at some moments, but we just have to roll with it and believe that this all happens for a reason. We were blessed to have the trips we had in Monterey but we are going back to Southern Cali =)
The next few posts were of our time up there...

Everything does happen for a reason, I am just sorry it was such odd timing for you Kate... don't worry about school, I know it will all work out in its own time. I would have supported you both with whatever decision you made but I am sooo happy I get to have my best friend back!!! You two are very important people in my life and I am so excited you will be closer.... We can go to Costco together Kate :). Love you both and can't wait to see what the future holds for our whole family!

Well...they say the only constant in life is CHANGE. I know you are torn, but who know what lies ahead. We love you BOTH very much and we know that God has a plan. Just hang on for the ride:).
