Better Together

I haven't seen David in over a month now, so I was so happy that we got to spend this whole passed week together! We stayed in a beautiful hotel along the coast on Cannery Row, and took in all that we could. Since the beginning of March, David has been traveling back and forth every other week from Minnesota to Monterey for work. Since we will be calling Monterey 'home' for the next couple of years we figured it was time for me to come up, so we could check the place out together.

From the minute I got there I have to say I did fall in love. This is a view from our hotel room! The city right next to Monterey is Pacific Grove, so beautiful! I told David this is where I want to live! After lunch, on one of David's work days, David and I took a walk to the ocean (there's David in his work clothes =) Climbing on the rocks near our hotel we were able to see so many sea creatures! Tons of orange and purple Sea Stars, way too many Jellies and Sea Lions to count and one cute little Otter (my favorite)! The sea at sunset. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is AWESOME! I went twice in one week, once with David and again by myself when he was at work. We will for sure be taking everyone here when all you guys come to visit, (you better come visit =). The picture above is a dome of sardines swimming all in the same direction above your head, with soft music playing. I told David that would be a great tranquility room for our house ;) Wine tasting on Cannery Row! The little Otter that came to visit near our hotel! He swam for hours just kicking back eating some fish. So cute! The dock of the bay! If you look close in the water you can see all the red jellies! Told ya there were way too many Sea Lions to count! These guys know how to make some noise! This is Pebble Beach, (the golf course that David dreams to one day play on)! Talk about being out of our element. When you walk into the lodge you can smell the wealth these people have! Maybe one day we can play golf here, but for now we will just take beautiful pictures =) A stop on 17 Mile Drive, another thing we will be sure to take visitors on! Another shot on 17 Mile Drive, one minute all you see is ocean the next you are surrounded by forest and trees. Guess Who! A Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory is right on Cannery Row, you know we couldn't pass that up! The Lone Cypress is around 250 years old and serves as the Pebble Beach Company Emblem. A seagull would stop by most mornings on our hotel balcony to see if we had any left over muffins for him!

I don't know but I think I can adjust to moving here! From Owatonna, Mn to Monterey, Ca...I would have never guessed it, but we are blessed to have it and we'll take it! Another three weeks till I get to see you again babe =( Thanks for a great week...miss and love you!
