To my son:
1. I pray you will know God. And trust in his word to guide your life. He will show you miracles but you need to listen to His word in order to hear them.
2. I pray you will grow in strength, health and love.
3. That you will stay close to your family and bring friends into your life that value responsibility, kindness.
4. That you have empathy for others and work to uplift those around you.
5. I pray you will fight for what's right even when wrong is all around.
6. I pray you will always be a gentleman, to everyone. That the phrase "boys will be boys, instead is boys will be gentlemen" always!
7. I pray for you to learn from your father, how to save money, invest, work for what you want, go out of your way for others and love unconditionally.
8. I pray for you never to be afraid to show emotion, it means you're human.
9. I pray that you will always know how much I love you. That when I say those words to you, my heart explodes.
10. I pray you will appreciate the wilderness, and take time to hear what the trees are telling you.
11. I pray you will find a sport that you love and build your character from it by working towards a common goal, with others.
12. I pray you will always be a constant learner .
13. I pray you will understand that aim is necessary for your goals, aim for good and please aim when peeing, someone has to clean that up, and in this house it will be you.
14. I pray you will always know that my tough love towards you at times is because I expect your best.
15. I pray you know that I am human and make mistakes, but that each day I am trying to be a better mom for you
16. I pray you can find fun in any situation. That a bad morning doesn't mean you have to have a bad day.
17. I pray you will understand that when you ask a girl "what's wrong" and she says "nothing", it really means the opposite.
18. I pray you will be a good listener and lend your ear to those who need to tell their story.
19. I pray you know That a Dutch oven is never funny!
20. I pray you will know that there is no job to low or high for you. Whether you're scrubbing floors, cooking as a stay at home dad, running your own business, or preforming your next surgery...you will do so with pride and be humbled by it.
21. I pray you treat the server like the CEO.
22. I pray you will be the best YOU, always. And when you forget come back to me, let me hug you and remind you of who you are!
