When Nature Calls....

David's Aunt Tina and Uncle Dan have been wanting us to make a trip to Wyoming for awhile now to do some river rafting....so we finally made it up this summer, and took Amy along too =). We have been through Wyoming a couple times now, going to and from Minnesota, but we never really had the chance to spend a few days really taking in one spot. We camped in Alpine and explored the Snake River to it's fullest. It was an amazing trip filled with great family and friends, breath taking views of nature, and a whole lots of memories.
All SEVEN of us, (Marshall, Nikki, Dave, Uncle Cliff, Amy, David and I), crammed into a mini-van and prepared ourselves for the 15 hour drive ahead of us =/. Talk about Wally Worldin' it =)
Amers about 10 hours into the drive...
Rest stop at Afton Wyo.....getting closer!!!
The boys wanted to camp in the "real wilderness"...soo us kids, (Marsh, Nikki, Amy, David's cousin Kris, Erin, David and I) took our campsite up to the mountains a bit more. The rest of the gang set up camp at the base of the hill...where the hot showers and real toilets were=) We quickly got the idea of roughin' it!!!
Hiking down to the river at our campsite!
Dan setting up the "Red Head" raft
All the gear...Dan and Tina have the FULL set up!!! It was awesome!
Making sure we can't breathe....must keep the jackets ON!!!
Lean on in...

The pics of the last float down the river reminded me of Bryson's "guess who" game where he made up the cartoon character of the 2 headed boy/girl eel that doesn't talk but speaks Spanish:) :) :) That trip was the highlight of my summer. Thanks for taking us!!!
