Hockey Game and Minnesota Slang!

Our Federated group got together to go to a local hockey game, The Owatonna Express! We won the competition for the loudest section =). Fun game but we lost.

Thought we would share some of the fun Owatonna Talk we are picking up!

• Everyone says "hello" by saying "Hey Der" or "Hi Der" (like hey there without the 'th' =)

• If they want to say yep or yes it's "Oh You Bet Cha!"

• Instead of saying "holy s-word" they say "Holy Buckets" (Buckets is used for any cuss word)

• You are called a "Hoser" if you are a dork, nerd, or doing something silly =)

• And finally "Ahhh Don't Cha Know" used almost in every sentence!
